Thoughts On Detox Diets

Everyone seems to be detoxing these days, whether it’s a lemon detox diet or a parsley detox diet, it’s all about cleansing the body of all of the bad stuff and replacing it with the health benefits that these substances provide.

When done carefully and in moderation I’m sure there is nothing wrong with taking on these diets, but they should be done under strict medical advice. Not every therapy is suitable for everyone and if you are carrying some kind of pre-existing condition you should find out about it before you face an adverse reaction because you failed to ask.

The body can accumulate all kinds of poisons these days both from the lifestyle we lead and the diet that we follow. Taking positive steps to improve the way we feel and the way our body reacts should be commended.

Substances such as parsley contain many healthful benefits and we should all increase the amount that we eat. A parsley diet should consist merely of an increase in the amount of parsley consumed rather than a radical switch to an all-parsley diet. Not only would the body quickly tire of eating parsley day after day but all interest in eating would soon disappear.

As with the moderation mantra, even too much parsley is not necessarily good for the body because it is quite a potent substance when consumed in large or concentrated quantities.
